PROJECT 

Students have to carry out a s/w development project ( in house/ R&D unit/ company/ university) & have to submit a  dissertation at the  end of the semester. The evaluation will be based on a seminar presentation & a viva  by an external examiner.

Provision shall be made to have at least 30 classes of 180 minutes duration for project paper for general guidence .These classes have to be completed in the first half of the 4th semester .Further  all the two theory papers  and one practical paper of the 4th semester are also to be completed with in the first half of the 4th semester.

Each student will be required to complete project work under the supervision  of a guide in the 4th semester in the college.The guide will be apointed by the H.O.D/Co-ordinator from amung the faculty members or the guist faculty.

Alternatively a student can opt for a project to be worked in collaboration with any industry/R & D organisation .For this ,a co-guide in addition to a faculty member/guist faculty as guide as mentioed above may be aproved by HOD/Coordinator.The guide(s) should certify that the project work is based on the waok caried out by the candidate.This project work is to be carried out by the student at his own cost and it should be submitted within

six months from the date of the completion of the 3rd semester examination.

A committee is  formed to look after various aspects of the project works with the following members:

• Chairman HOD / Co-ordinator (M.Sc. Computer Science).

• Member cum guidefaculty member/guest faculty (concerned).

• Member external other than faculty member/guest faculty concerned.
