 1.How to apply for the M.Sc Computer Science?

 Ans:

     Application form can be obtained from the college counter in person on payment of Rs.300/- in cash or by registered post on payment of Rs.330/- in shape of bank draft drawn in favour of principal, khallikote college, Berhampur payable at State Bank Of  India, Berhampur with a self addressed unstamped envelope of the size 25cm. x 10cm. Applicants are required to fill in their own hand the application form, acknowledgment card and both copies of the admit card.

 

2.What is eligibility to admission into M.Sc  Computer Science?

 

Ans:

       Eligibility for M.Sc.Computer Science is BSc.Computer Science Honours with 50% marks in Honours subject (SC/ST-45%).

 

3. What is the fees of M.Sc Computer Science?

 

Ans:

       It is a self  finance course and its fee is 20,000 per year.The sectional fees, examination fees and seminar fees as admissible shall be collected  separately at the time of admission from the student.

 

4.How many seats available in the M.Sc Computer Science?

 

Ans:

       M.Sc.Computer Science has 16 seats and some seats are reserved for SC-8%, ST-12%, Ex-serviceman1%, Oriyas living in Neighboring States(OLNS)-5%,Physically Handicapped(minimum 40% disability)-3%.

 

5.In which month  the M.Sc Computer Science examinations are  held?

 

Ans:

       The first and third semesters examinations shall be held originally in the month of January and second and fourth examination shall be held originally in the month of June.

 

6.What are the course in 1st semester?

 

Ans:

       The semester has five theory papers and one practical paper.These are:Data Structure,Discrete Mathematical Structure,Computer Architecture,Computer  Graphics,Operating  System and practical paper is Data Structure and Unix Shell Programming.

 

7.What are the course in 2nd semester?

 

Ans:

       The semester has four theory papers ,one elective paper and one practical paper.These are:Data Base Management System,Statistical and Numerical Techniques, Software Engineering, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Graph Theory (Elective) and practical paper is Oracle.

 

8.What are the course in 3rd semester?

 

Ans:

       The semester has four theory papers ,one elective paper and one practical paper.These are:Digital Logic Design, Optimization Techniques, Artificial Intelligence,Advanced Database, Object Oriented Modeling and Design (Elective) and practical paper is Java Programming.

9.What are the course in 4th semester?

Ans:

      This semester has two theory papers,one practical paper and a project work.These are: Computer Networks,Internet and  E-commerce,Web Site Designing and Hosting Lab, Project.

10.What are the extra qualities in the M.Sc Computer Science? 

Ans:

    We also conducted a number of competitions among the computer science students to generate competitive spirit within them.Each successful candidates who has passed all the four semesters shall receive his M.Sc Computer Science degree in the prescribed form specified the class in which he is placed .A student securing first position from among as the 1st class distinction positions shall be presented  with a certificate of the merit signed by the principal in addition to his diploma.
